SINCRO PLUS range is a very updated, compact and efficient double side precision winder, requiring a lower investment in order to obtain the same production compared with less performing machines.

These machines are the ones that consume less energy and maintenance materials, in addition to that, they do not need neither additional fans nor cooling system.

Marzoli, the European manufacturer of the complete spinning line for cotton and synthetic fibres, will disclose the latest novelties result of its 170 years of experience in Innovation, Textile Engineering and Machines design to provide its customers with fully integrated solutions.

One of the main novelties is MDS2.4 Hyper Ring, the new ring spinning frame with 2400 spindles.

Moving from 1.824 to 2.400 spindles entails two main advantages for spinners. First of all, investments costs are reduced: fewer machines and reduction of the spinning mill layout. Secondly, reduction of operating costs: lighting, conditioning and general maintenance costs. Ultimately, MDS2.4 has been designed to boost productivity and reduce operating costs.

When yarn breaks, there are only two options: tie a knot or splice it knotless.

Mesdan’s splicing solutions in both hand-operated and automatic versions aim to improve production efficiency, increase yarn quality, optimise yarn clearing performances, widen machine versatility and reduce waste. The ultimate goal is to produce a defect-free fabric.

The Hot Jointair was developed for knotless joining of wool yarns. It is Mesdan’s most advanced splicing solution for wool yarns as well as luxury yarns such as cashmere, silk, angora, etc.

It also enables superior quality joints on a variety of other “difficult” yarns such as MVS/Vortex yarns, synthetic OE (single and plied), multiply sewing threads and so on.

NSC, the global specialist in machines for processing long staple fibres such as wool and wool-like fibres, will welcome visitors on their 500sqm booth and showcase new versions of its core machines.

The new ERA combing machine has a multi-servomotor drive design. With this new drive, most of the settings are possible via the main control screen. A wide range of materials have been tested on this machine, and the results are promising fordelicate material which has to be processed in a gentle manner. Also, despite the additional motors, power consumption remains low.

The GC chain gill also benefits from additional axes driven by servomotors which allow more settings on the main control screen, according to NSC. For its FMV vertical rubbing frame, the French company has also developed a multi servomotor drive for the axes. The bobbin build-up also benefits from a servomotor-controlled drive.

All these new servomotor drives allow more precise settings than using standard gearboxes and enhance textile quality.

Furthermore, these new drives and technology allow recipes to be saved on each machine, and data exchange between machines will be possible through a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) with Industry 4.0 features.

RI.TE produces machines for the yarn finishing sector since 1964. The Italian-based company will present at ITMA 2019 a new evolution in the field of gas singeing machines.

The machines were designed mainly to avoid unsinged knots during winding process, reducing the production costs for different kinds of yarn.

Moreover, RI.TE will present the upgraded high performance and precision cone-to-cone winding machines, reeling machines, hank-to-cone machines and a complete mercerizing process line.

In Barcelona, Saurer will present a range of new products, demonstrating its drive for continual innovation to the industry. With its E³ principle, the company’s new products require less energy and fewer resources while featuring optimised ergonomics to enhance user-friendliness.

In addition, Saurer is increasingly incorporating intelligent technology to augment the human effort. Its focus is on meeting the needs of investors and operators of spinning mills as they strive to reach their goals.

The innovations that Saurer Spinning Solutions will show at ITMA include new machinery, automation and digitization technologies as well as quality-determining components and services.

While focusing on delivering perfect package quality for each spinning application from one source, Saurer has divided the systems into ring spinning (Zinser System) and open-end spinning (Schlafhorst System).

The Saurer Technologies Segment will also be presenting an array of innovative products. The direct cabling machine CableCorder CC5 is already in its fifth generation. This version is even more economical and features a smart spindle concept as well as smart quality control and software solutions.

Visitors in the carpet yarn sector can find out the details of the new series of CarpetCabler/CarpetTwister. Saurer will also be launching the latest generation of the CompactTwister which had sales of over four million spindles.

Saurer offers a complete top-down embroidery solution. On the Epoca 7 machine, each step of the ennoblement process, from the first drawing of the design to the final stitch, can be completed. Its HeadLine application system incorporates a new laser head that can cut virtually any fabric, allowing for limitless designs.

Meanwhile, with the launch of a device-monitoring system for all ball bearings, Saurer enters the market for Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) solutions. The system allows the constant condition monitoring of every single Temco bearing within a plant.

Last but not least, in its elastomer components business line, Saurer fulfills the requests for a ring-spinning cot with a hardness of 68 Shore A, completing the range of Accotex J-series cots from soft to hard with different lifetimes for different applications.

The latest air jet-spinning aprons feature a redesigned composition of the inner layer in combination with a newly designed knurled structure, resulting in even gentler yarn treatment.

SavioEcoPulsarS winding machine.Savio will exhibit innovative, highly automated, energy saving and Industry 4.0 solutions in all displayed machines.

Savio’s Polar Evolution and EcoPulsarS winding machines can easily process the special and challenging yarns, such as manmade fibers and elastomeric yarns, thanks to special splicing and tension control devices for ensuring perfect joints and perfect package shape, while always monitoring off-standard values.

The latest “Direct Link System” from Savio is the Multi Link, that connects multiple ring spinning frames to one Savio winder, becoming a tailor-made circuit to link two or three RSFs to one winding machine. A special iPeg tray guarantees the circulation of RSF bobbing to/from winder. This solution optimizes space, reduces energy-consumption and production costs.

This automatic bobbin transport shortens servicing paths for the operators and allows an ergonomic material flow. The costs for production, space and energy are reduced, while keeping the quality consistent even with long and multi-connected machines.

Nowadays, Savio product development is focused on “smart” components that must transmit data online. The leap in quality of textile machinery is evident in the new control systems, which allow for example employees to receive alarm signals directly to their wrist by smartwatch. When one of the winding machines present a problem, the anomaly signal is sent to the operator through a smartwatch, Savio Smart Bracelet, thus minimizing the break downtimes of machine.

XENO-AC – the new SSM air covering machine.The Swiss based SSM Schärer Schweiter Mettler AG, the inventor of the electronic yarn traverse system, will introduce its breakthrough technologies. One of the highlights is the XENO-YW with DIGICONE 2. The SSM XENO-YW is a precision winding machine for all kind of staple and filament yarns suitable for dye package winding, warping preparation and rewinding with or without lubrication or waxing.

The DIGICONE 2 winding algorithm enables a 10-20% increase on dye package density with unchanged dyeing recipes. In addition, the 15" touch-screen machine terminal is easy to use and the optional automatic doffer system offers maximum productivity.

The company will also introduce XENO-AC – the new SSM air covering machine. It is a yarn processing machine for intermingling and precision winding of filament yarns and Elastan with or without lubrication.

Infinitely adjustable process conditions as well as an up-to-date yarn path enable the optimization of the closeness and stability of the intermingling of yarns, according to the specific requirements of the downstream process.

PET bottles are turned into tapes for plastic fabrics.The Starlinger Group will present itself in Barcelona together with its new member STC Spinnzwirn for the first time.

With the acquisition of the company now operating under the name STC Spinnzwirn (formerly known as Oerlikon business unit Barmag Spinnzwirn), Starlinger has expanded this broad range even further, particularly with respect to special extrusion (e.g., artificial grass, baler twine) and winding technology.

In addition to the winders and twisting machines of STC Spinnzwirn, ITMA visitors will be able to get a good impression of the Industry 4.0 solutions of winding specialist Georg Sahm GmbH & Co. KG based in Eschwege/Germany, which joined Starlinger Group in 2002.

Further ITMA highlights are the software solutions for central plant monitoring and digital process optimization developed for the Starlinger Group by GRAFiT, a subsidiary founded in 2018.

With a focus on the circular economy, Starlinger will exhibit an FX 6.1 circular loom at the show to demonstrate the circular weaving of tapes made of recycled PET; the resulting rPET fabric is ideal for the manufacturing of U-panel FIBCs (flexible intermediate bulk containers or container sacks).

The FX 6.1 is a 6-shuttle circular loom that is primarily used for the production of high-performance fabrics and does not possess any sliding parts which would require lubrication. This ensures that the fabric is completely oil-free and suitable for packaging food products.

The MCD3 Space-dyeing machine.Thanks to the latest version of the MCD3 Space-dyeing machine, combined with the new MF400 texturization device and a heat-setting line, it is now possible to produce carpet yarn out of polyester, polyamide, polypropylene, acrylic, viscose or wool, in one continuous single-step-operation, more energy efficient, web connected, and almost pollution-free.

With the “one pile-one color” process, or thanks to the new “bi-color printing” technology, the space-dyeing process has been renewed and undergoes a new boom. This technology enables to get yarn directly usable in carpet and rugs to realize innovative design. It is now possible to obtain up to 15 different color shades on the same yarn in one single working pass.

To bring more value to the yarn, it is also possible to insert the MF400 texturization device between the dyeing machine and the heat-setting line in a one-pass process.               

To fix the dyestuff in the fiber and lock the twist, the heat-setting lines are directly connecting to the upstream processes, thus producing a soft-touch and durable carpet yarn. Whatever the fiber type, SUPERBA proposes the right solution.

The TVP3 with its saturated steam under pressure process is the right choice when pinpoint effect and durability are the dominant requirements sought for PA, PET, PP or wool and blends. At ITMA 2019, SUPERBA will unveil a new innovative global process from the creel to the winding.

Trützschler opens up a new chapter in carding technology: The new intelligent card TC 19i automatically and continuously optimizes the carding gap whose setting has a critical influence on quality and performance. With a precision not achievable by humans, the intelligent card permanently realizes even the narrowest carding gap setting of 3/1000 inch.

In addition, new cloud-based digital monitoring and management systems provide yarn manufacturers with transparency over all processes in the spinning mill. The My Wires app, for example, provides information on the status of clothings and service intervals and helps with the planning of reorders. Competent service for re-clothing can be provided immediately by Trützschler Card Clothing (TCC).

The latest innovation in the blowroom offers more economy and quality as well: The Portal Bale Opener BO-P, with widths of 2,900 mm or 3,500 mm, allows significantly more bales to be placed side by side and processes them in parallel using two opening rolls. Thus, it results in significantly better blending and higher productions of up to 3,000 kg/h.

As a complete supplier for spinning preparation, Trützschler is also breaking new ground in draw frames, the quality filters in the spinning mill. The autoleveller draw frame TD 10 automatically adjusts the perfect break draft for optimum sliver quality and realizes significant cost savings due to its compact design and energy-efficient suction system.

Like the TC 19i and the BO-P, the TD 10 provides the operator-friendly T-LED remote display which visualizes important machine and production information in a simple way.

Trützschler Nonwovens presents sustainable concepts tailored to individual customer needs. The focus is on technologies for the production of biodegradable light-weight webs from renewable raw materials.

In addition to proven solutions for carded, spunlaced nonwovens made of 100% cotton or 100% viscose, Trützschler Nonwovens has developed an alternative technology in cooperation with Voith: In a wet-on-wet process, the web is formed from cellulose-based short fibers suspended in water and then bonded by means of hydroentanglement. The sustainable, high-quality wipes and cleaning cloths that result from this process can be completely degraded by microorganisms in the environment after usage by the consumer.

The Man-Made Fibers division presents the new four-end BCF machine MO40, which is based on the proven M40 concept. The symmetrical design in combination with the lamellaless HPc texturing results in maximum yarn and bobbin qualities. As each spinning position produces four BCF ends simultaneously, the machine achieves high productivity at moderate speeds, which ensures a stable process.

In addition to the highlights from the Spinning, Nonwovens and Man-Made Fibers business units, the Trützschler Group will present the comprehensive services and high-performance clothings for cards and roller cards from TCC on 1400 m2.

TCC completes its portfolio of special flat clothings with the MT 52, which demonstrates outstanding stability, particularly at high card productions in ring and rotor spinning. In addition, TCC has developed the new PRECISETOP flat clothing, which is essential for the intelligent self-optimization of the carding gap in the TC 19i.

At ITMA 2019, Uster Technologies will launch the USTER QUALITY EXPERT, the Quality Management Platform that collects and evaluates information from different production stages, making the entire process more transparent for managers and operators.

The introduction of the Quality Management Platform marks an important evolution for the company, according to Uster Technologies. It combines collection and smart data analysis from more process steps with the next level of knowledge-based alerts about possible defects and extended prognosis of yarn performance in subsequent processes.

Also very new is the possibility for better contamination control and quality-based optimization of the ring spinning process, including the possibility to stop defect production as early as possible.

Alerts are available on a mobile app and important performance indicators are also projected on dashboards – both with the target to trigger early reaction to problems. The reporting is also accessible on client terminals across the plant.
